Huh?: Why Drabbles? There is a community called "Open on Sunday". Every Sunday a theme is given and you have to come with one or several drabbles including the word or matching the theme. Humor, angst, smut, doesn't matter. Each drabbles has to have exactly 100 words. There was a time when Leni convinced Lucey to give it a try. Lucey gave it a try and had fun. Hannahbee asked Lucey: "Hey, wanna out these on Denialhaven?" and voila. :o)

1st round: "Award"

My drabble: Angel's POV, post "The Gift"

He entered her room in his usual fashion - always the window. Leaning back against it, he wasn't sure how he came here in the first place. Or why. Looking around his eyes settled on her bed. Hers, never theirs. He clutched Mr. Gordo, looking even worse than the last time he saw him but still bearing her scent. Everything here screamed her name, making his knees weaken and his soul ache. His eyes settled on the pink umbrella leaning in a corner. "Buffy Summers - Class Protector". Her award. It didn't slow down her fall, couldn't save her. Just like him.

2nd round: "Animal"

This time, four drabbles.

1. Buffy's POV, S1, post "Angel"

Slaying had always been simple. Never easy, but simple. They were the bad guys - she killed them. She never gave a thought about what she did, why make things complicated? Stake through the heart, a little dust, end of story. It really wasn't that confusing. Pointy teeth, growling and biting. Animals without names or faces. Why care? But lately things had become complicated. Suddenly she found herself wondering about the lives they once had. She still killed them but it was different. Because now - there was him. Because suddenly not only slaying had become a whole lot more complicated.

2. Buffy's POV, S3, post/during "Beauty and the Beasts"

She cowered in a save distance, never letting him out of sight. Was she scared of him? Or herself? He tossed and turned, his whimpers alternating with growls. No words came from his mouth just these...sounds. Inhuman. So lost. Every now and then he went into game face, half-awake he snarled whenever she dared approaching him. Was this how things were going to be from now on? What if he never changed back? Images popped into her mind, images of their past together. She quickly cleared her head, forcing herself to look at the animal he was - for now.

3. Buffy's POV, mid-S3, NC-17ish

The second she entered the mansion she knew she was in trouble. Within the blink of an eye she found herself tackled to the ground, his weight pressing down on her. Before she could say anything his mouth attacked her. She gasped as her clothes were ripped from her body. Opening her eyes, she realized that her hands were long busy with his own clothes. They were gone in seconds and without hesitation he entered her. It wasn't gentle. They didn't need gentle. Rutting like animals on the cold floor, so good, never enough...until her own scream woke her up.

4. A little Scoobie-Fun, S5ish

"Hey! Happy Easter everyone!", Willow bounced in, pausing in confusion as the rest of her friends cringed. Before she could ask what was going on she heard the scream from the next room. "Where are you? Just wait 'til I find you!" "Is that Anya?", Willow frowned. Buffy only nodded as Xander run off. "What..." "Shh, just sit here and be quiet. She'll calm down eventually." Willow did as she was told, frowning again at the sight of ripped foil and chocolate all over the table. "What happened?", she whispered. "Oh, nothing. Anya just found out about the Easter bunny."

3rd round: "Betrayal"

This triggered no less than six drabbles. You realize I'm enjoying this, right? *g*

1. Xander's POV, S3, post "Dead Men's Party"

She was back and of course he was glad about it. Glad, but also nervous, uneasy in her presence. He tried to hide behind a mask of blame, claiming to still be mad at her. A part of him still was. That was until he followed her one night, watched her fall down on her knees, hitting the cold stone floor, crying her heart out like she would never be able to stop again. He didn't look her in the eye since then. Because he was afraid that if he did, she would be able to sense it - his betrayal.

***

2. Giles' POV, S3, post/during "Helpless"

It wasn't so much what he did that made him realize the full impact of his actions. It was the look on her face when he told her. Shock. Betrayal. Anger. Hurt. He had never seen her like that and it only made him hate himself even more. She had trusted him, despite her friends and family, she had always trusted him like no one else. More than she should have. Why was it that he only realized it when it was too late? Would she ever be able to trust him again? He'd give his life for it.

***

3. Faith's POV, S3, post "Consequences"

She got the job. Piece of cake getting it. Shouldn't she be glad? Maybe it'd just take some time getting adjusted. What was the big deal anyway? Everybody knew she was bad, might as well make it official. Just not too official. Hell, it wasn't like any one of them actually liked her, might as well spy on them. No matter how hard she tried, she knew she had never been one of them. Never quite fit in. But that would change now. She was where she belonged and she was determined to give her best. Piece of cake. Right?

***

4. Buffy's POV, mid S4ish

He left her. Dumped her in a sewer. Didn't want his life to be with her. He had left town without saying goodbye. Just one last look. She had saved his life and he'd still left, not listening what she had wanted to say. He said he wanted her to have sunshine, picnics, a life without darkness and demons, maybe even kids. He wanted her to have someone who could make love to her. So why was it that having all these things felt so wrong? Why was it that lying in bed with another man still felt like betrayal?

***

5. Angel's POV, AtS S1, post IWRY

She was gone. Start forgetting. It wasn't like she had much to remember anyway. He had made sure of that. In a selfish moment he actually thought of her as the lucky one. Everything in his apartment reminded him of her. Her scent all over the place screamed of the day that now never happened. But it did happen. Even the memory of it seemed to be mad at him. He betrayed her, them - again. I'll never forget. But she would live, grow old. Live the life he wanted her to have. I want my life to be with you.

***

6. Tara's POV, S6, post "Tabula Rasa"

There was a time when she would have given her everything. Her body, mind and soul. Her heart? It would always be hers. Even after she played with her mind like that she would never be able to hate her. After being afraid of the dark for so long, Willow had brought out the light in her, making her feel strong, beautiful, loved. She would never forget that. Maybe that's why she still loved her. She had trusted her. Trusted her with her body, mind and soul. She betrayed her. Maybe that's why her body ached and her soul wept.

4th round: "Spring"

Four drabbles again this time.

1. B/A, either post-Chosen/Not fade away or AU

She gave his ear lobe a final nip and started a gentle trail down his jaw, for a moment coming to rest in the crook of his neck. He could tell she was smiling against his skin as she felt him shift impatiently. One searing open-mouthed kiss after another, she busied herself with his collarbone, then his shoulder. With aching tenderness, her mouth warmed his cool skin, teased him mercilessly. When her hot little tongue swirled around his nipple, he hissed in pleasure. And she didn't stop there. "What are you doing, love?" She looked up and grinned mischievously. "Spring-cleaning."

2. Vamp-musings about the benefits of spring

The Vamps of Sunnydale have waited. Not that they would ever admit it, but they like spring. Unlife in California, the sunshine-state's tough. Vampires all over the world mock them for their stupidity, but what do they know? It's not the weather, it's more about the side-effects. Spring means people are getting careless. Them making out everywhere makes it so much easier to kill them. Spring means that her skirts are getting shorter and the shirts more revealing, making up for the trouble. If they have to die anyway, might at well catch a glance at the slayer's panties first.

3. A little Scoobie-Fun, S4/5ish, Xander's POV

"Come on Buffster, let's play truth or dare!" "No way. I'm not drunk enough for that." "Yet." "Am I the only one remembering that drunken Buffy equals badness?", the slayer made another weak attempt. "Oh please. We're young. We're supposed to do things like that!" "Will!" "What? We're at Xander's. You're safe." "Are you teaming up now? "Xander's right. I read all about it. Spring-break is all about getting drunk and have tons of sex." "You know, maybe she's right..." Xander glanced at the five girls on the floor and knew he was in trouble. And then he woke up.

4. Faith teases a grouchy Buffy, post Chosen/Not fade away

"What truck ran you over, B?" The blond slayer simply gave her a glare, limping towards the fridge. Usually she enjoyed having breakfast with everyone around, Scoobies and the rest of the AI-team creating a big family. "And here I thought you'd be glad to get some sleep...", Faith winked suggestively. "Miss the big guy?" "Stop it! My bed's broken or something. Damn bedspring kept poking me...", Buffy pouted. "Really? Wonder how that could've happened...", Faith shared a grin with the rest of the table. Buffy blushed bright red, smacking her arm. "Well, so much for placing bets on that...".
